Two guys Ian and Terry have just left after a weeks fishing with a total of  2079 lb of fish in the week. Terry also caught a 21.8 lb catfish using maize as bait.

Also added a new comment thanks Ian

Maize has started to be a very good bait again.

Roy Williams has caught loads of fish so far this week including 16 twenties and 5 thirties with the biggest being 37.8lb. Most fish have been caught with maize.

Most areas of the website have been updated and some areas removed the website will be changing allot in the next few weeks.

Just added lots of new pics and a new comment.

The fish have just started to spawn.

Andy Mac had a very busy week and caught 4932lb of fish which included 90 x 20+ and 16 x 30+for a full catch report please click here

To order any of these pellets please email carp.fishing@tiscali.fr

The fish are still feeding like mad and most people have rebooked for next year.

New comment added thanks Andy.

I will be adding lots of new photos soon

The catfish seem to be feeding very well this year and taking all sorts of different baits.

Most people still seem to have all 3 or 4 rods go at the same time and lots of people change and only use 2 rods.

I would recommend bringing lots of bait as the people that use lots of feed seem to catch a lot more fish.

The fish seem to be growing at an exceptional rate and lots more twenties and thirties have been caught this year.

There are not many dates left for next year (2007) the only weeks left are as follows.

3rd March - 10th March whole lake available

10th March - 17th March whole lake available

17th March - 24th March whole lake available

13th October - 20th October whole lake available

20th October - 27th October whole lake available

If you would like to book any of these weeks please email or call 0033 297516362 and speak to Dave.

Most of the bigger carp are being caught on the Milin De Ruchec  25mm pellets these are a very hard pellet and last about 5-6 hours before dissolving where halibut pellets are only lasting 40 minutes due to the high water temperatures.

In November this year we will be de-silting the small lake and restoring its depth back to 5-6 feet this will then be heavily stocked with carp from 1- 8lb from the main lake and should make for some good float fishing on light tackle. it will also help to get rid of some of the small carp from the main lake.

I have just added lots of new photos and a comment to the website thanks everyone for sending them in.

The fish are still growing like mad and one known fish that was stocked 18 months ago at 21lb has just been landed at 35lb but the average weight gain seems to be about 4-5lb per fish.

Booking forms for next year will be sent out in early November and deposits must be paid before the end of January 2007 your week will only be guaranteed when we have received your deposit.

At the moment we have a waiting list for the summer weeks of 2007 and anyone that have not paid there deposit by the end of January 2007 will loose there week I have to do this as some people have  let me down this year.

Ninety Black Bass have now been stocked and they where between 25 – 30 cm in length, with the amount of Roach and Rudd in the lake they should grow very fast.

The swims on the lake have had a revamp and from now on mud should not be a problem on wet weather days.

A new rule will be added that bivvys must only be set up on numbered swims but you will still be able to fish anywhere on fishable banks.

The games room is in the process of being updated.

Anyone that has booked a holiday with us in 2007 should receive their booking form in the next few days if you haven’t received it by the end of November please email or phone us so that we can send out a replacement.

The fisherman’s rooms and toilets have also had a revamp ready for next year.

01-02-07

Sorry for the lack of updates it has been a bit hectic here

Also the games room has changed with the addition of nine new games

The first people will arrive on the 24th Feb

All deposits should now been paid but we are still waiting for a few people if they do not pay in the next few days then the weeks will become available again please call or email us for dates

Five of the swims around the lake have now got a covering on them and mud in very wet weather days will no longer be a problem

If anyone requires pellets please can they email me with amounts and sizes last year our pellets proved to be very good with most fish being caught on them?

Bar prices will remain the same for 2007 as will the price for an evening meal

The guy that supplies my catfish has at last managed to get hold of some big cats and he will be calling me in the next few days with exact sizes.

The 2007 season has started and after 12 days over 500 fish have been landed which includes 65 x 20lb+ and 25 x 30lb+ with the biggest so far being a 37.8lb mirror and the biggest common so far 30lb

The average size fish has been 18lb

This is a great start to the season and excellent fishing considering it is only early March, most of the 18lb fish should reach 20lb by the summer months when they start eating after the winter break.

Most of the 20lb fish caught so far have been high twenties.

Update 23/03/07

The fishing has been very good so far this year and Jinx the fully scaled mirror has made his first appearance of the year at 41lb (end of last year this fish weighed 38.8lb)

Allan Mckernan had a good time and landed 102 carp and 1 sturgeon.

He had 27 x 20s of which 4 where 29lb+, 6 x 30s, 68 x doubles of which 13 where 19lb+ and the average size of the rest was 18lb he also had 1 x Single figure carp. I will be adding some photos soon to the web site.

In the Four weeks that we have been open so far  this year over 1300 carp have been landed 15 sturgeon and no Cats hopefully the cats will start to feed as the weather starts to warm up.

26/04/07

Just added lots of new photos and a couple of comments thanks to the people that have emailed them to me.

The fishing has been very good and the fish seem to be getting bigger and bigger.

There has not been a super bait so far this year and I would recommend that people bring a selection of different baits.

Due to all the hot weather we have had the fish should spawn earlier this year.

There have still been no sign of any catfish yet.

24- 06- 07

Sorry for the lack of updates

I have just added a few new comments and lots of new pictures.

The fishing has been very good with lots of bigger fish being caught

Most fish seem to be caught on 2 X 15mm Milin pellets I would recommend brining a spare bait drill as the pellets are very hard.

The weather has been very bad for the past couple of weeks non stop rain and wind.

Spaces for 2008 are filling up very fast.

More 40s have been caught so far this year than any other year also lots of high 30s that should make 40s by the end of the year.

Not many catfish have been caught yet this year.

The sturgeon have pilled on the weight and fight like mad.

23-07-2007

Just added some new pics and 2 new comments

The weather has not been great but the fish still keep feeding like mad

17/08/07

I have just added another comment and some more pics

The fishing this year has been the best yet and the fish are still feeding like mad.

Most fish have been caught with my own pellets as hook baits.

I have just managed to get a deal with the local fishing shop (Mondial Peche) that will give everyone who fishes here a 15% discount.

Due to a great demand we are now taking bookings for 2009 some weeks have already gone

16-11-07

Wow at last I am going to update the website sorry for the lack of updates I never seem to get around to doing it

I have just added some comments and photos thanks for sending them in.

The 2007 season has now ended and we will reopen in Feb 2008

This year (2007) has been the best year yet loads of 40s have been caught with Dean Mellise having the biggest of the year at 46.1 lb the way the fish are growing a 50 will almost definitely be caught next year.

Also lots of the 30s that have been caught have been high thirties and should make forties next year.

Bookings for 2009 are going fast and I would like to remind the regulars to call or email me ASAP to reserve there place.

The booking forms for 2008 holidays will be sent out in the next few days and deposits must reach me before the end of Jan 2008. Next year there is a waiting list again and people that don’t pay the deposit will loose their holiday. (If anyone has a problem with there deposits please call or email me before the end of Jan and I will try to sort something out).

Now for some bad news

Every year when the season has ended Andrew and myself go out in a boat and collect all the tackle that is hanging in trees and bushes. This year we found 9 rigs and 6 of them had a barbed hook on the end, the rules here state that Barbless hooks must be used so in 2008 and onwards I will now have no choice but to check everyone’s rigs.

Also I would like to remind everyone that Sturgeon must not be landed with a landing net they must be tailed out. (A Sturgeon does not have a backbone like a normal fish it is made of cartilage and can easily snap when folded in a landing net.)

Please can everyone that books a holiday here make sure that there party all read the lake rules?

Sorry for the moan but it gets annoying when a few people spoil it for everyone else.

This year’s biggest fish

Mirror carp 46.1lb caught by Dean

Common Carp 42.8lb caught by Gary

Sturgeon 34lb caught by Lee

Catfish 51lb caught by Mark (very slow year for the cats)

Most fish caught in a week

4 people had 74 x 20s 36 x 30s and 3 x 40s plus lots of high doubles and some sturgeon.

Again this year nobody blanked that’s six years without a blank for anyone.

The last week of the season was very hard fishing with hot days and very cold nights but Kevin, Martin and Lee braved the elements and still had 5 x 30s up to 38lb and quite a few 20s and on the last night Lee had a lake record Sturgeon of 34lb.

I have got limited dates left for Feb/ March 2008 and end of October 2008 please call ASAP if you would like to book.

Bar prices for 2008 will remain the same as 2007 as will the price for evening meals.

02 /02/08

The fishing will start this year on the 1st March.

Everyone should now have paid there deposits but as usual some haven’t and others can’t make it for various reasons. So as a result a few spaces have become available they will be on a first come first sold basis

8th March – 15th March whole lake available.

31st May – 7th June  4 spaces available.

19th July – 26th July 3 spaces available.

Everything is ready for the opening and a few things have changed here this year the swims have had a make over and a new power shower has been fitted in the shower room.

If the fish continue to grow the same this year as last year then we should see a 50+ come out this year.

The Information packs will be sent out in the next few days to people that have booked here.
